Midnight Movie Killer Cut Edition

Just saw Midnight Movie Killer Cut screening, and I really enjoyed it. The movie isn't just packed with gore, slashing, and of course bloody murder, but it invaded the safe space that us horror fans-- or at least my friends and I cling to in the wee hours of the midnight -- "It's just a movie..." There's a movie within the movie, which creates space for camping which is always fun, yet it uses this knee-jerk reaction of camping up the movie-within-the-movie to let our guard down as the cast, one by one, become part of the horror movie within the movie. Something extremely admirable about the way in which the movie plays with our understanding of reality which really leaves you wondering as you walk down the dark hallway to your bathroom..!
