Anti Horror

I just finished a full length feature "super low budget" horror move...."Anti-Horror"
It was a blast to make...the editing process was a knuckle buster...but all in all...great fun and I suggest that every horror fan take a wack at making a low budget horror movie..(The world needs more horror movies)
I am looking for suggestions on how to get it seen. So if you have any advice or know of some underground film fests that will play my weird little nasty....please let me know.
For more info.... http://www.anti-horror.com

Best regards
Don

Try doing a google search for Horror Conventions and Film Festivals.

Orlando, FL also has a little festival known as The Bruhaha Festival, which shows these types of films. The only place I've been able to find info. on this festival is at The Enzian

Also check out a place called Terror Royalty, they specialise in getting indie horror films onto dvd and out into the market.

How the fuck should I know probably!
Why? Because it's a brilliant film, it's so funny, and the soundtrack kicks fucking ass!

Thanks very much for the info...I have already entered Anti-Horror into most of the mainstream horror fests...I was just trying to dig a little deeper into the underground...the movie itself begs for underground..I put a lot of work into this movie. When making a no budget movie...I am sure you are aware that the only thing to invest in it is one's time. It spent two years in post..the sound was a nightmare...but I believe the time and quality really shows through. The subject matter on the other hand ...is another story. I fear the biggest flaw in Anti-Horror...is that I was trying to be different...and when trying to be different....one has that line....between different and fucking weird.....well ...the movie itself makes sense...has a solid plot line....but I am afraid it may be too fucking weird for the mainstream horror fests.... But we will see....I may just be going through some kind of postpartum with it...I did spend a lot of time in labor...
I have just started hitting the film fests....so we will see.

Thanks and Best Regards
Don

Don, I just got back from Twisted Nightmare horror con. There are tons of similar events. I think Cinema Wasteland is coming up next and for whatever odd reason, most of these take place in or around Cleveland. Ohio has an apparently larger underground horror film making community. When I asked someone 'why ?' over the weekend, I was told 'Simple. There's nothing else to do out here' LOL. Check it out.

Don,

I too have been working on a film, it's only in preproduction, but I hope to have it finished with in 3 to 4 years. Hopefully you'll be able to provide us all with some tips, after you see how well received your film is.

Did you try and find Terror Royalty, and see if they had any helpful information?

Ohio has some great conventions, especially the ones that Chris mentioned plus there's Dark Xmas in Youngstown and Scary Camp in Dayton. You should definitely check them out.
