you guys should have really watched the original Grudge 1 & 2 first, then you'd probably have had a more enjoyable view.
ok yeah I agree Jap films are kind of strange to start with, but then thats why these films have such a unique following....you either love em or hate em, and if you love em you'll appreciate the style much more. I liked, and this is probably the first and last time I'll ever say this, the transition from the original Grudge to this remake, and has been done superbly imo....the story was followed well and I think they chose good american 'jap' replacements for the main characters. The Grudge remake was far better than the Ring remake...even though I should have followed my own advice, since I watched the Ring remake before watching all of the Ring originals.

Ugh, i at least liked the Ring. I didnt care for Ringu either, and one of my complaints about the grudge was that it reminded me too much of ringu. Sorry, the scariest thing to me about the grudge was theat the theater i saw it in was smaller than my living room..
