Thumbs up Rosemarys Baby

I just bought this out of the blue at FYE yesterday because it was $5.99 and It was like What the hell, Ill buy it. I LOVE IT! I normally wont watch a horror movie unless its gory but holy god in heaven, this is a unbelievably good movie. Maybe John Cassavetes isnt the only one who sold his soul to the devil. Its just so mysterious and creepy and when there is a score, its crazy good.

Any one elses thoughts on this?

Love this movie. Especially the Oriental guy at the end of the flick who continually praises Satan. Awesome flick. Roman Polanski is a damn fine filmmaker.

Loved the movie when It came out in 1968.
Bought my first house in 1969 and decorated it like the apartment.
Love the chicken guts.

I'll agree with most everyone. I love this gem. Simply ingenious. The syle in wich it was filmed is hard to match. And don't you just love the shady characters, and the way they seem to pop up from nowhere? Ingenious.

This one and another movie based on an Ira Levin novel, "Stepford Wives" warns city girls against the dangers of getting married! It always seems the husbands are conspiring with creepy old neighbors against their poor wives! Yes, loved the movie and book!

ROSEMARY'S BABY

Wow -- this one's just $5.99 now? Very, very cool. I'll definitely be picking it up. Not that I wouldn't have before, I just never got around to it. ROSEMARY'S BABY is a classic, a fave of mine without a doubt. A damn near flawless film.

One of the creepiest lines in horror movie history, IMO: "He has his father's eyes."

Anybody seen Polanski's THE TENANT? I picked this one up in the $5.88 bin recently, just for the hell of it, but I haven't gotten around to watching it yet . . . .

Lipton's

I enjoyed the comic part where Ruth Gordon offered Rosemary a cup of tea, Rosemary looked at her strangely, and Ruth Gordon said "it's just plain Lipton's dear."
Also the part at the beginning where thay decided the mother-to-be of the baby could just be a non-virgin--not necessarily a whore off of the streets.
