Actually, it's a short story, "fairy tale", only 112 pages. I read it over a family vacation, zipped though it, as it's a fast read too, very enjoyable. A nice seemingly rare combo of short, important, famous, simple and enjoyable.

I could tell you how the two endings differ, if you really want, but I think this short story is up your alley. It'll be in every library, not to mention got to be free on the internet.

For some weird reason she likes my music, so I'm composing. There will be candle light and a good meal, and I'm considering about 15 other things to take it out if the cliche realm.

I'm not gonna read it as it's quite a cruel story. But I'd like to know the original ending.
