I'd like to get into more Asian produced horror movies, so far all I've basically saw was Audition and I thought it was great. It's really hard to find anything, even at Blockbuster all they have is Ringu and Ichi the Killer; none of which are the uncut versions :(.

Could anyone give me a short review on Ju-On, I've never heard anything about it?

Ju-On the Grudge is all about a Curse. When people die in rage, the curse is created and everyone who counters that curse is, well, fucked. In a house a woman and her boy are killed and they come back from the dead to freak the hell outof anyone who dares to enter their house.
The atmosphere of Ju-On is very, very creepy. The gohst are freaky and can apear when you least expect it, creating some excelent scares.
The only downpoint I can think of (for some people), is the story. It`s not linear and very vague. Like in most asian horrors, you are expected to solve the puzzle for yourself and if you don`t like doing that, you can be very confused.
But in all it`s just a great horrorflick

The film synopsis is here.
http://moviesonline.ca/movie_details.php?movie=Ju-On

I will ask Luke if he can do a review of it, he is a HUGE asian horror fan and speaks highly of Ju-on. I myself have not seen it.

Sorry i could not help much more.

I rented Chaos about a couple weeks ago. That movie is so confusing. They keep going back and forth and back again. It's fine if you do it a few times. But doing it more than a few, it tends to get confusing. Took me a while to understand the movie. I had to watch it again, lol.
I want to watch the Ju-On movies before I see The Grudge so that I can compare and stuff. I've seen clips of the movie as well as the first 8 minutes of it on IFilm.com, and it looked real bad.
The acting, sets, a lot of stuff. There's a scene in the beginning where the lady walks to this one house. Then she jumps when she sees the front of the house and they have that scary jump music. And it was just a regular house! Nothing to be scared of. It was so corny.

Do you like Japanese Horror ?

What is everyone's opinion on Japanese horror ? I really like the movies that have been released in the last few years like the RING cycle, THE GRUGDE 1 & 2 and DARK WATER. I find the Japanese are very good at creating fear even without language.
