I heard Cillian Murphy will have another cameo as Scarecrow. I wouldn't have minded if they brought him back as the villian given Heath Ledger's passing and knowing that it would have worked but as it stands I'm glad they brought in who they did.

I think Thomas Hardy will bring a lot to the table as Bane and though I'm not sold on Anne Hathaway (at all, not just in this role), I think she'll at least be servicable. I'm just glad they didn't try to pull a cop out by saying Harvey Dent survived or something like that and then continue the last movie more directly.

The first time you watched the theatrical trailer for The Dark Knight Rises, a ton of questions obviously popped onto your head. One of them was, “Why is Bruce Wayne in prison again?”

In Batman Begins, the young Mr. Wayne was in prison punishing himself for the fate of his parents only to come out of the experience stronger than before and on his way to becoming the Caped Crusader. In The Dark Knight Rises trailer, we see Bruce walking into an almost Inception-esque room filled with staircases and chanting prisoners. “What does that mean?” asks Bruce. “Rise,” says a knowing prisoner. As fans, we can ask the same question, “What does that mean?”

A new article written on the set of The Dark Knight Rises offers up a significant clue but, of course, it should be considered a massive spoiler.

The information comes from the Los Angeles Times who recently ran a profile of Anne Hathaway‘s Catwoman:

So it seems Selina Kyle is in cahoots with Bane, almost acting as one of his minions, at least at one point in the movie. Also, Bruce Wayne is a hostage (does Bane know his true identity?) and why are the citizens all sitting together behind barb wire? Throw those questions in with the images we’ve already seen, such as Bane and Batman fighting on the stairs and Catwoman on the Bat Pod, and the mystery gets even murkier.

Also of note, is this description of the Catwoman costume -

Quote:
Selina Kyle, played by actress Anne Hathaway, navigates the steps with stiletto heels that, on closer inspection, turn out to have serrated edges capable of leaving nasty claw marks in a fight. She also wears high-tech goggles that, when not in use, flip up and resemble feline ears.
Anne Hathaway says -

Quote:
I love the costume. I love the costume because everything has a purpose, nothing is in place for fantasy’s sake, and that’s the case with everything in Christopher Nolan’s Gotham City.
