Drinking in your area?
What's the "standards" of drinking in the area/country/state where you live?
Here, buying alcohol is legal from the age of 16. Drinking it isn't illegal no matter the age. During cityfests etc., a big problem for the police is handling the 13-year olds that are wasted out of their minds. Thought of this topic, as I just looked outta the window. I live on the main street, and I just saw 2 13-yearish girls walk outta 7-11 having bought beer, obviously very drunk. And now, 2 minutes later - one of them is crying. Alcohol sure is fun!

Yea, are they strict about that 21 year rule?
Well, I actually don't see any problem, as long as people can control themselves. You'd think Denmark, being the country with the "world record" in youth drinking, would be a violent country. However, Denmark is one of the countries with the lowest rate of violence, as far as I've heard. Oddly enough, Denmark was also the first to legalize porn. Conclusion: If you can watch porn and drink alcohol, why would you wanna beat up people.

It's 18+ here.
Not that this every seems to stop anyone around 15+ getting into the stuff, that seems pretty commonplace.

As others have said, it's 21 here in the states and they're pretty tough on it.
13 year olds don't need alcohol because: a.) They're bodies aren't developed enough for it. and b.) They're not mature enough to drink. Nobody wants a bunch of drunk, annoying little kids running around.
