I don't think this is the kind of movie you were meaning (it's manga) but "Perfect Blue" is quite a good thriller/horror type movie, IMO at least.

Less horror and more suspense, I'd say "Battle Royale" is definetely worth checking out. It's more action, but the execution of the premise is so twisted and so creepy to imagine being real, that there is a certain 'terror' tinge to it.

I think youīre in the wrong place, honey. ;) :D

Iīve seen "Battle Royale". Thought it was very far out, but entertaining.
Okay asian movie, but i prefere the horror genre.

If you like more suspence than horror then watch "Saw". Itīs nothing but.

Check out two films by Shozin Fukui that just got released by Unearthed Films: Pinnochio 964 and Rubber's Lover. Pure insanity commited to celluloid. Both of these films manage to out weird Tetsuo, if you can believe that.

I did enjoy Phone, by the way. And the previous film Nightmare.

Thanks Mrshape.

Hmmmm.... I would rather watch "Tetsuo". That one sounds like the most horrific of those 3 mentioned. Is it good?

Some of my favorites are "Audition", "Tetsuo", "The Isle", "Tokyo Fist", "Versus", and "Suicide Club". All definitely worth checking out imho, though Isle isn't Japanes but rather Korean;)

You noticed that i was asking for HORROR movies, right?

Except for "Audition" & "Tetsuo", the titles sounds more like Drama/action movies than creepy horror movies.. :(

Im gonna have to check "Versus" out though. Could be entertaining.

Thanks!

PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!!!! :)
Shutter ....imo very good. as I said in another jap thread, this film follows the other styles of jap horrors, but imo is better than most of the recent ones and on par with the ju-on series.

Face .....btw I've just received Face, so not watched it yet, but got it based on a couple of good reviews.
