***SPOILERS***

Exactly WHY did Creasy not kill the woman in the techno club after getting what he wanted and getting the girl? She was just as part of it as the 2 men in the club he DID kill, and he stated that EVERYONE involved would die.
It wimped out.

Proof of this is in the deleted scenes where a whole assassination of someone involved was removed to tone down the violence! The whole 2nd half of the film is MEANT to be about violence they build Creasy and his quest into nothing but a whirlwind of death! A fart more like.

And the end? What was that? She may not have been dead but she was still kidnapped and put through hell. He could have had a gun in his waistband and killed the Brother as he ran past to supposed freedom, have 'The Voice' there as well and go out taking them out.
As it was we are left with kidnappers unpunished and a VERY VERY bad tagged on coda that (helpfully!) has 'The Voice' killed in a matter of fact fashion at the end by the Police.
BUT Creasy had no idea about this...so as far as he knew he simply let them all go and died in the car! Man on fire? Hmmm...

OR why not use the alternative ending with the bomb? MUCH better. Not only are they all killed but Creasy is the one that did it (which i thought WAS the whole point of the film!).

Could have been so good (and it was at times) but it pandered to Studio suits (though why the DVD had to I do not know, Director's cut was needed here) and it wimped out.
What Tarantino was doing saying it's "As tough as Hell" i do not know.

And the deleted scenes also show how disgustinglly wasteful Hollywood is! They filmed a big action scene, blocked the road off, had lots of extras, lots of bullets and a car blow up....and they cut it out! HOW MUCH did all that cost?
Surely this is why you have SCRIPT meetings, this is why people get payed a lot to decide BEFORE money is spent in what goes and what stays. Small things will of course be filmed and then have to go of course...But a whole action scene?!

More money than talent some people.

I can't agree more. The ending really felt like a let down.
Thats Hollywood for ya.

Quote on the DVD cover.

And at times it was, very tough. But the refusal to kill any women involved in the kidnappings, only the men, and that flat finale let it down.

By all that is holy! "MST3K: 'Manos: Hands of Fate'". Now that was indeed a BAD film! A bad, bad, bad film. At least some of the MST3K stuff was funny.

**Spoilers**

No matter how ''on fire'' he was suppose to be, most of the time you see a movie about an assassin they don't go for women and kids. I don't see how you can think he got soft, he was bleeding to death and had been through quite a bit in the strech of a day or two emotionally and physically so after he found out Pita was alive all he wanted to do was get her back and that's what he did.

Think about it, what if it were you? Forget all the assassin for the goverment, killing machine,''creasy's art is death'' stuff. You've been through hell and you're completely worn out, you find out she's alive ''the voice'' makes you the same offer. You're telling me you wouldn't have done the same and just got it over with?

But hey, that's just me.:)
