Trying to Remember that One Horror Movie

Hi All,

I'm trying to track down a halloween movie that I enjoyed as a kid. It was on tv back in the early/mid 80s. For the life of me I can't remember the title. Can anyone help dislodge the memory?

Here is what I recall of the plot: A group of teenagers found some kind of rune and tried it in a graveyard. Nothing happened and they laughed it off. But after they left, all sorts of monsters started popping out of the grave. Oddly enough, one of them was a beautiful cherleader with a big "P" on her shirt. Or at least I think she was a cheerleader, that's what her outfit resemled anyway. The story kind of fades from my memory at this point. The monsters prowl around at night and crash halloween parties and create havoc. Naturally, one of the teen boys fall in love with the cheerleader, not knowing that she is "dead". In the end, they manage to reverse the rune and put monsters back into the grave... but the cheerleader vanishes. The teen wonder if any of this really happened. Then he turns on the radio and hears a song the girl dedicated to him.

Sorry not the best description. But geez, it's hard to remember things that happened in the stone ages! Can anyone help identify that movie? Thanks!

That would be my guess as well. If memory serves correctly wasn't the radio DJ a werewolf too?

Its been so long i cant even remember. I'm gonna have to watch that again.
