Cool

I recently looked back at a couple of comedy horrors from the 1980s, "House II: The Second Story," and "Deadtime Stories" from 1986. They ae both just as fun and awesome as I remember them in my opinion, and always fun to look back at! Those who have not seen those don't know what they are missing!

TANYA'S ISLAND (1980). Albert Sole (ALICE, SWEET ALICE) directed this odd yet interesting film that has an ending that sort of negates the whole thing. Tanya (DD Winters who later changed her name and found fame as Vanity) is experiencing difficulty in her professional and personal life. She and her boyfriend-who is an absolute shithead-go to an island and problems begin when she encounters an ape. The Ape costume is a collaboration between Rick Baker and Rob Bottin-good job on what was surely a low budget shoot-and for those interested in these things, You see an AWFUL lot of Vanity...no wonder Prince wanted to work with her! ***
