My Twisted Little Game

In this thread I will tell you about a little game I came up with. We play the game outside at night. It has to be a wide open space (I have a house in the woods) and it needs 5 players. One of the players is the boogeyman,he goes in the woods at the start of the game,(if you dont have woods make him go somewhere out of sight) another 3 players are the humans they are otside of the house armed with flashlights searching for the boogeyman (we made the game be like a horror movie) and the final player is the bait (Like from that sheep from jurassic park) seperated from the group and sent out into the woods after the players go out of the house. The only thing the bait carries is a candle stick. The boogryman must get to all the players to win the game, however the survivors can beat the boogeyman by finding three hidden objects of your choice hidden in the woods. Once a player sees the boogeyman he may not scream for help he can only run as fast as he can. If a player is caught he goes back to the house, or he will be dragged by the legs to the house if he doesnt co-operate. So what do you guys think of my little game? :)

It has potential. Could be a great game to play at a Halloween party. You'd need enough people and to make sure the rules aren't too complicated.

I don't really understand the real purpose of "the bait."

The bait is a distraction. because its in an area seperated from the group it will be the main target of the boogeyman. We never tell anyone this because it seems to be working perfectly.

?

But why would the Boogeyman go after the bait at all if everyone involved (including the boogeyman) knows that the purpose of the game is NOT to go after the bait?

The bait is a player if the guys with the flash lights are out the game is still going because the bait is still in.

Think of it like a horror movie the team sends in the toughest/wimpiest guy to get the items that send the boogeyman away and after hes gone for like 5 minutes they go check on him.
