Wow, didn't actually know that there were this many horror comics. I though they died with the dracula, frankenstein and were wolf comics.
Great with new content :)

Just got done with the latest issue of the ongoing series of Hawkeye (#11).
I didn't actually think I'd like this series, the art is pretty rough and the character has been largely hit and miss in his solo outings outside of Avengers stuff.
However, there's some charm to it.
I like that it's standalone and independent of his other avengers/marvel associations. Very street-level stuff, even moreso than say daredevil.
Basically paints the character as a stuff-up/burn-out at this stage in his life, though there's something really down to earth about this series that I love...not much inner-monologue, not too much flashback/background or superhero type stuff, but enough is provided for new readers to jump on.
To me, the comic doesn't even LOOK interesting and I find it difficult to put my finger on what I actually like about it, but it's entertaining.
Just stories about a dude with an interesting past, getting by.

This issue I just read impressed me with very little use of words...of course being aware of what's been going on in the comic helps explain things a little bit...but I'll just say the entire comic was presented in the perspective of a dog that the title character liberated early in the series.
Shows the dogs thought process, associations and presents an interpretation of how the senses work.
Nothing weird or scientific about it, but I thought it was very well done.

Anyways, I'll just say it's one of the more solid Marvel titles out now.

Started on my collection of the "Gambit" title that's just been sitting around unread.
I was actually pretty surprised it has a bit of staying power.
Like the aforementioned "Hawkeye" title, it manages to stay clear of the characters team association quite well, and it's fine to read independently.
Love it when you don't get a thousand crossover events.
It's about well, thievery, backstabbing and misadventure...I mean it's not the best comic I've read all year, far from it - but it's entertaining, the character is true to form and a little more roguish as per his origins.
Might be worth a read if you enjoy the character.

Recently finished the second series of Dead@17, which is pretty good fun with some nice art and a half-decent plot.

Dead@17 Wiki

Now starting on the Anita Blake series and waiting for The Walking Dead No.114.

I'd like to take this opportunity to pimp a friend of mine's comic, Ehmm Theory.

Horror comic about a guy and his talking cat fighting zombies. I know zombies are kinda played now, but it's really good.

Currently reading some of the vintage Creepy comics as I've already read the newly released ones, gotta love how if they don't know how to end a story the good guys just come back as zombies.

Read, about half way through, a compilation of zombie tales called, Zombie Terrors. The artwork by a number of different artists, is pretty good. On the flip side, the writing of most of the stories is uninspired and just not very good. Can't recommend this one at all. Guess I will be trading it in at the local used book store.

I've been reading a lot of the DC "whatever point whatever" issues, for villains month or whatever they're calling it between the events of trinity war and forever evil.
Surprisingly some of these are pretty good.
Still not digging the "new 52" stuff, aside from the still running GL and Batman series, though it's not all bad.

Nothing has really stood out in my general comic reading though.
About to read the latest issue in the Star Trek title, based around the new movie established universe. That's usually pretty solid.
