Rob Zombie Movies
I'm putting this out there and I know I may get flack, but I dislike Rob Zombie movies. I can not possibly be the only one. You do not have to like them to be a genuine horror fan.

I can't comment fairly because ive never seen a rob zombie movie. Never had the interest to see one. I dont think looking somewhat scary and having a scary name equals making good horror movies.

That's cool. Difference of opinion is one of the reasons we're here. They aren't my cup of tea. What didn't you like about a particular film(s)?

Yes, you're right, that's what I meant. That's my worst typo is messing up the 'not' part.

My first exposure was Halloween, which didn't endear me given my love (even at 14) of the original. I do enjoy House of 1000 corpses as an homage to 70s hillbilly horror and Devil's Rejects is an decent follow up and I've not seen the third one. I mean, anything with Bill Mosely is gonna catch my attention.
That being said, I don't know if I've ever met a self-respecting horror fan who would claim you have to like them to be a horror fan. Dead Meat has just started a kill count of the Firefly series, which gives some fun behind-the-scenes details and offers a decent run-through if you've not seen them and don't fancy sitting down to watch in full. https://youtu.be/fE3j_ghacoo

I love Rob Zombie's films.
I like his attitude when he makes them. He does not give a fuck if people like his films or not. He's going to make a film the way he wants. He doesn't care. You like horror, you are a horror fan, no matter what type of 'films' you like or don't like. : )
