Best version of Dawn of the Dead?

Over the years i have had several versions of my all time favourite horror movie dawn of the Dead, from the old vhs videos to dvd.But i havent seen either the ultimate editions or the Bluray ones.

So,can anyone tell me what in your opinion is the version to go for.

The last version i bought was the directors cut by BMG.I like the idea of the Bluray but from reading various reviews it seems the only version in HD is the theatrical version while the other cuts are in standard def.

I would of course prefer to watch the fully uncut version but would this be in standard or hd?

I have the "regular" edition I guess?
I got the BluRay though - I have to say it's probably the best BluRay re-release I've ever seen.
So damn crisp...everything was done perfectly, an absolute pleasure to watch and a must-have IMO.

...Carpenters "The Thing" BluRay comes a very close second in terms of quality.

Is it the full version though cheebacheeba,i have seen different versions with various scenes deleted, such as the neck and arm eating and the head shot during the swat raid on the block of flats at the start.

zwoti once posted a link for a site that compares versions of movies. Perhaps he would be so kind to post it again....if he sees this thread.

I thought I bookmarked it but I can't seem to find it.

Thanks guys.

I have looked at the dvd compare site before as it is a great resource. It does say `no cuts` regarding the Bluray versions but is this the whole truth.Like i said above the versions i have had previosly have all had slight variations.

The Bluray does sounds a good one to go for but though i would ask a wider audience like your good selves.:)
