Friday The 13th remake.

Me & my girl went to see this one at a sneak preview a few hours ago. Recommendable at least.

Danza macabra (Castle of Blood) (1964)

Ah, sure it's pretty silly and it doesn't make much sense, but it has an excellent, creepy atmosphere. Good for late night watching.

Plus, Barbara Steele.

My Bloody Valentine (1981) - 8.5/10.

Went to see this in theaters last night, great flick. What's really cool is that it was shot an hour or so away from where I live. Harry warden is a great slasher villain, right up there with Freddy Jason and Micheal in my opinion.

The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog (1927)

A sweet silent thriller.

The Lodger (2009)

Adapted from the same story but gone with an entirely different approach and did a fair job. Quite tensed & intriguing.

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (2009)

Fantastic! They didn't tried to ruin anything, just followed the simple & original back story or history of the premise of first Underworld movie and made a very good prequel. Rhona was too good with her tempted performance.

Underworld (2003)

Just gave it a watch for the 2nd time as the prequel satisfied me highly.

Watched the first three Friday the 13th's today. Here are my thoughts:

Part 1: The best of the series and one of the better slashers out there. - 8/10.

Part 2: I didn't really enjoy this one very much, one of the worst in the series in my opinion. -6/10.

Part 3: Much better than the second. Third best of the series in my opinion next to the first and part four. - 7.5/10.

Hopefully going to go see the remake tommorow.

I watched Gremlins 1 & 2 today. Part 1 is always good, part 2 is much lamer in comparison but good for some campy laughs, but it looks pretty low budget for some reason.

The Dungeon moor killings

One of the worst movies I have ever seen, I waited back for the Q and A with the Director and writers. The writers seemed innocent enough, it was thier first script and gave a good answer for my question on the basis of the script, but when I asked the director how much it costed he got defensive and went on about how he had been involved in a doco that costed nearly 1 million pounds a few years ago, he finally got back to this movie and said it cost more than 1,000 pounds and less than 100,000.. My guess is it cost around 2,000 pounds.

Point is it was an inocent question, especially how he was trying to promote indipendent filmmaking in Scotland.. seems like a wanker though. Still, I might send him a synopsis, yeah right, if If I want to see something I write turn into a piece of shit.

1/10
