Who's your favourite artist?

As far as classic and beautiful go, I am in love with John William Waterhouse but for surreal and horror it has to be H. R. Giger - famous for his "Alien" design; the character Sil from "Species"; and that horrific worm-like demon in "Poltergeist II"

Give me Giger any time! :D

My favorite author has to be Ralph Stedman. I've gotten two of his works tattoo'd on my leg.

Hi there :) Wow! I bet they look brilliant on skin! I have tattoos, but not anything to do with artists - altho the tattooist is a brilliant artist. I have an ankh on my right arm and a very long and colourful gecko on my left arm.

I have considered a full length *Alien* (from the Signourney W. series) on one leg - but still havent found the right design yet. Maybe one day..... :D

Cheers!

I love Waterhouse!!!Very beautiful. Also classic beautiful:Rossetti,Edward Burnes-Jones...many,many others.I have one of H.R Giger books.Very horrific I must say.He is good at that. That worm like demon gave me nightmares as a child! But for horror art I like Dave Mckean(does that count as horror art?)and Brom.

I wouldn't say he's my FAVORITE but I dig Stephen Gammell's illustrations.

Gustave Dore. His woodcuts are amazing and contribute a lot to any book they're in. Here's one from the Raven:

I had a Don Quixote with his woodcuts but it was wrecked by flooding.
