The Deadly Grannies Part two

Oh hi! It's Countess Marya to continue on with our blog on The Deadly Grannies.

The fifth Deadly Granny is that of Countess Dracula. The Countess is played here by Ingrid Pitt. The photo shows the elderly Countess who needs fresh blood to become young again. Pitt certainly made a buxom, curvacious and attractive vampire.

The next Deadly Granny came from the Boris Karloff Thriller series which aired from 1960- 1962. The episide was entitled La Strega or the Witch. The Thriller series is a cult favorite but rarely shown today.

The picture is that of character actress Jeanette Nolan as the title character La Strega who wreaks evil upon her grandaughter and her lover.

The last Deadly Granny here was played by none other that the great horror star Boris karloff.

Karloff appeared on an episode of The Girl From UNCLE that aired on 09/27/66 and was entitled as The Mother Muffin Affair. Karloff appeared as Mother Muffin the head of as assasins ring who were out to kill a mobster's daughter.

Karloff surprised everyone by playing a woman's part in drag. According to one biographer, it was the highlight of that TV season.

At the time Karloff was crippled up with arthritus and was suffering with respiratory problems. He had less than two years to live. That says a lot for the old trooper.

But who is the deadliest Granny of them all. Well see the next picture.

I love to drink blood. It keeps me young like Countess Dracula. I love to go for nocturnal strolls on hauntingly eerie moonlite nights where the reek of blood is everywhere! Ha ha ha ha !

But don't worry. If you run into me I'll be simply costumed as an old woman for a party. And I'll be drinking wine not blood!

So long for now. I hope you enjoyed this little different excusion into the supernatural.

Your Hostess Of The Supernatural

Thank you.

I'm glad you like my "old woman" impersonation as The Countess.

I like to add humor to my blogs and this is way to do it. You don't just have straightforward droll reading but something both humorous and serious at the same time.

Morgus the Magnificant ( a horror show host here in New Orleans from the past) enlivened his programs with humor.

One of these days, I'll have to put a picture of my self out of costume.

Then you talk about something scary!

Thanks again! Glad you like my writings!

Vampyr-

I transferred a copy of it from a beta tape that I purchased many moons ago to a DVD,

I would like to get an new edition of that on DVD.

Yes! That most certainly is a Deadly Granny ( a vampire to say the least).

I haven't seen it in years and i need to play it again soon. Then maybe I can do a blog on it!

Thanks for reminding me!

Sincerely

Countess Marya
