Vanilla Horror >< How did you get introduced to Horror?

So I can only dip my toes into horror things. I find it interesting, but tend to be very squeamish and extremely jumpy. My friend started drawing me into it more recently via his youtube channel. He tends to dip into indie games of a horror variety and they can be pretty amusing.

It's been pretty neat and that's basically how I have even started to get into it. How were other people thrust into the genre? Naturally or did friend and family dump it on your head?


PS. Oh my gosh I forgot about Courage the Cowardly Dog. Don't even make fun of me... that gave me nightmares. And when my friend did a video if it I had nightmares that night as well. x.x
