Alice, Sweet Alice

Fantastic little Hitchcockian suspense movie. Obviously takes its influences from Black Christmas, Hitchcock, and Giallo cinema. Also, surprisingly, must have had MAJOR influence on Halloween - The score sounds SHOCKINGLY familiar.

I'm a HUGE fan of evil children flicks - Alice, Sweet Alice reminded me a LOT of The Bad Seed. I thought that the beginning of the movie was BRILLIANT, though it lost me a bit after the "twist" (I didn't really buy it).

Regardless, this is a fantastic film overall.

3.5/5

I assume you're working your way through that MGM set- have you watched The Last Waltz yet? Awesome flick. And I assume you've already seen Raging Bull?
I'm probably going to watch The Last Waltz later on today. Yeah, I've seen Raging Bull many times, my second favourite Scorsese flick next to Taxi Driver.

"The X-Files: I Want To Believe"-decent film version of the TV series. Nothing great, but fun.

"Pirates Of The Carribean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl"- First and best film in the adventure trilogy

Hells Ground
first Pakistani horror flick ive ever heard of/seen. boy did it suck. shamelessly ripped off TCM in almost every aspect. claimed to be a splatter flick, yet would disappoint any gorehound.

wanted. I really liked it. not too deep , but damn good creative action. interesting twist. Angelina Jolie's naked ass. A fat boss being told to go fuck herself.

Overall a very satisfying movie. nice hall of mirrors style action scene too

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Well, it didn't really blow my mind or anything, but it was definitely a great movie. Pitt gives his best performance since 12 Monkeys, and the makeup is astounding. It's a bit longer than it needs to be, and the modern day scenes are annoyingly useless, but otherwise it's a wonderful film.

A Prayer For The Dying.

Awesome 80s actioner with a great performance from Mickey Rourke. Some pretty nifty atmospheric sequences which are complimented by some killer background music by Bill Conti.

The supporting cast could have done better though - a very young Liam Neeson, Bob Hoskins, Alan Bates, all were average. But still, a thoroughly enjoyable flick.

Rating - * * * ½
