I wouldn't mind a direct sequel either, I think the way 7 ended there's definitely room for at least one or two more. I would hope they take their time crafting the films and not rushing them and also not using Saws III and VII as a template, the more gore-driven entries. I want the psychological mindgames to return full-force.

Yeah there's no reason for it to be rushed. Fingers crossed it's better than parts 3 and 7.

Four years after the last movie, no reason it can't turn out good and among the series best.

Just finished watching the whole SAW collection For some reason I didn't like that Jill died and John told Dr.Gordon to protect/watch over her and didn't do anything till the near end of the movie.

You might want to spoiler-tag that for anyone who hasn't seen the films...

Hope you enjoyed the series, though :) How do you think you might rank them?

I only thoroughly enjoyed the first two Saw's, I pretty much lost interest after the 2nd one. Not sure why though, I'll give the other ones a watch one day.

To be honest I'm not sure if a Saw 8 is the right direction. I don't know, I guess I'd be worried that it wouldn't live up to the rest :) Personally, my order of preference goes

Saw 1
Saw 5
Saw 2
Saw 6
Saw 4
Saw 3
Saw 7

The series is worth catching up on if you liked the first two but sadly the quality took a dive, though 6 came close to the first two.

I just realized the 10th anniversary of the original will be this October. How time flies, doesn't feel like it came out a decade ago at all.

Saw is only months away from turning 10, how time has flown. I'm surprised the studio hasn't gotten a Blu-ray set of all seven done to mark the occasion, unless they're doing it at a later date. I wonder if anything special will be done for the anniversary, hard to believe such a notable film's anniversary will go ignored.
