Just saw Wrath of The Titans. Not bad, mostly just a lot of action. Better then the clash of the titans remake though

Good flick, even better message. It's almost criminal how that whole situation was ignored by the mainstream media. WOody Harrelson was great. I always love to see people play a character who is the exact opposite of who they are.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011)

That Italian chick (Violante Placido) should do more action & horror flicks; liked her in The American.

Lunacy/Sileni (2005)
Directed by Jan Svankmajer (who did the great Little Otik) this is a joint czech/slovak venture based on the writings of Poe and De Sade. The huge downfall of this movie is the animated meat scenes-these happen every two or three minutes throughout the film and though they don't last long they are hugely irritating and become unwatchable after about 20mins in the movie. I understand that the director was trying for something inventive but it's the frequency of them that let's the film down-it would have worked better had there just been only two or three of these and they lasted longer. Anyway besides that this is a reasonable film. Plenty of blasphemy for sade fans but not enough control and punishment-the few scenes of those there are come at the end and are too rushed through. Therefore the film fails in it's objective of showing a view of freedom vs control which is unbalanced in favour of the freedom ideology. Nevertheless the film does make some great points about lunatics running the asylum (on diffeent levels) and just who are the lunatics after all?Flawed but not bad.

Michael Shannon was actually in the play before William Friedkin adapted it.
Wow I would have loved to have seen him in that play-seeing such intensity on the stage would have been amazing.
