You got some splanin to do
I Saw The Devil was a masterpiece. Deserved every bit of hype it received. It was a visceral, haunting experience that will forever be etched into my psyche. Speaking of hyperbolic.
Attack The Block... where's the love? That movie was terrific. And I have to say, Don't be afraid of the dark was TERRIBLE. Me watching that movie: "Hey, little girl, just turn that light switch on. It's right behind you, on the wall, right next to your HEAD!" boo! same thing goes for The Thing. "Hey how can the Thing destroy those people, and still keep all those clothes clean?" grrrrrrrr lazy, lazy film making. |

I joined this site just to say how wrong this article is. Insidious and Don't Be Afraid of the Dark are two of the worst films that I've ever seen that made it to theaters. The "menace" in Insidious was Darth Maul and he was scarier in Star Wars, the other was boring and I was struggling to stay awake. Not to mention The Woman wasn't overrated it was brilliant and disturbing. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion but yours is wrong.

Free StaciLayne!!!
Hey fellas, don't be messing with my homegirl, Staci! Let the grrrrrl speak her mind. Ok, enough of the testosterone overload. :D Great list, SLW, though I sadly can't speak for the titles that have stirred up all the controversy in this thread. It was a piss poor year for horror to be sure. Seeing folks lining up in hordes for stuff like PARANORMAL 3 just depresses me. And even though THE WOMAN is as bad you say it is, I'm glad I got to take that trip into the abyss with you as my pilot.:) Here's hoping for greener (or is that redder?) pastures in 2012!
