Is the information out of date?
Has the definition of "snuff" changed?
Have snuff films, and the market for them, actually been found?

I realize the article is from several years ago, but if the info is still accurate, it's not out of date.

I have to agree, it's all about definitions.

If "distributed for entertainment" is the criteria then there's some pretty convincing stuff on the net, and with the net being what it is it's not difficult to believe that these people are never caught.

re; Snopes article... Charlie Sheen really thought that Flowers of Flesh and Blood was real..??? What was he smoking?

^Just that there were a couple of interesting cases that aren't mentioned in it.

First - when that huge Russian Child Porn ring was busted and Dmitri Whatshisnaame arrested, early reports referred to tapes of actual child murder being discovered. These were believed to be distributed worldwide (so definably considered SNUFF). However, after the initial media coverage of t his angle it didn't seem to be mentioned again. So I am pretty sure it was a case of the overzealous media exaggerating an already horrific situation.

There is another case, though this happened before that article was last amended, it should be mentioned - there were two germans who killed a prositute on film and planned to sell it. Here's a link to a Daly Telegraph article. The article does claim that a Snuff Movie industry exists.
