Step Brothers---6/10 [all the funny parts were in the trailer] Hancock---7/10 [liked it more than I thought I would] Drillbit Taylor---6.5/10 [ wife wanted to watch it....nothing new here but I didn't hate it]

The Banger Sisters :
Goldi Hawn and Susan Sarandon as a couple of ex semi famous groupies who cross paths later in life ... Hawn is still trying to be the girl she was 20 years earlier - Sarandon is a high class mom - married to an affluent lawyer. what could have been a decent movie ended up being a really shitty film due to incredibly bad writing. A couple of 'crucial moments' were so painful to watch i felt embarrased for everyone involved. to the point where if i ever meet anyone who thought this movie was good - i'd think they were stupid. I never say that - but this movie pissed me off. the only saving grace was that Goldie Hawn is still beautiful to look at - so is Sarandon for that matter ... but in every other aspect of this film, the mark was missed by a long shot. subtle as a flying mallet - as Dave Edmunds would say.

21 Grams.
I really, really liked this one. Its a premise and script many can relate to, and its supported by some very neat camerawork, superb characterisation (Sean Penn & Benicio Del Toro are AWESOME!) and excellent direction. It shows so little, and says so much...one of those movies which is an artwork in itself. Its like watching Da Vinci's Mona Lisa in action, albeit in a very depressing way. Fans of Requiem for a Dream or any Aronofsky movies take note...give this one a spin. If you haven't seen this one, you are really missing something. Rating - * * * * ½

Clerks (Extended Cut)
Probably my all-time favourite comedy film. Only my second viewing, but its damn near flawless. Not a whole lot of difference in the extended cut, but the ending is a million times better.

Equilibrium with Director's commentary
Equilibrium with Director and Producer commentary Back to back. very interesting, especially since this masterpiece was Kurt Wimmer's first movie. Its amazing how much of the action he was disappointed with because they didn't have the budget.

"The mummy 3" 4/10
A very light version of Indiana Jones. It was bad. REALLY bad. Couldn't care less about either of the characters, epsecially the son. I really disliked Luke Ford's performance and i believe he was the sole reason i truly hated the Alex O'Connell character from start to finish. Of course it didn't help that every single one-liner in TM3 was so bad, a kid in kindergarden could've written them. It didn't take long before i impatiently waited for it to finish. I'm just too old for this shit..
