Game Shows

I'm 40 years old, so I have about 30 years of game show watching experience. I was trying to think of the absolute best and absolute worst game shows ever and decided on these:

Best - Match Game, Jeopardy

Worst - Press Your Luck, Card Sharks (I'm sure there are worse, but those were the first that came to mind)

What are your most and least favorite game shows?

Password. I saw a clip recently where Peter Lawford & Sammy Davis Jr. were contestants. Priceless!

Let's Make a Deal- in its original form. Do you have a hard boiled egg in your pocket?

The Gong Show- Chuck Barris was on drugs for sure. Paul Rubens was a frequent contestant.

All fun shows, though my heart broke for some of those Gong Show contestants.

Most of them were actors. The inside joke of the prize amount- $512.and whatever cents- was that was actor's scale for a day's work.

Oingo Boingo also made a few appearances.

I never watched a lot of them, usually only if I was at my grand parents house and they were watching them.

One I remember that was always good for a laugh was The Newlywed Game. It was really funny when contestants took the questions out of context or way too literal.
I hated Tic Tac Dough, although, I think that had a lot to do with Wink Martindale. Just not a fan.

It was a game show in Nickelodeon, but I always remember really loving this show, and wanting to go through the temple maze at the end

Oh yeah, my kids used to watch that show (and yelled when the contestant couldn't figure out how to assemble that 3 piece monkey).

One of the funniest game show moments I've ever seen was from the English game show Catch Phrase:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffRGQsZKjQ4
