Gettysburg or Salem?

So my girlfriend and I are trying to get outta Jersey for Halloween. She wants to go to Gettysburg PA for a chance to see real supernatural stuff. I want to go to Salem Ma to party and parade n stuff. We havent decided on costumes or anything but my argument is that we can go to Gettysburg anytime as opposed to Salem being a once a year type of getaway. So what do you think? Which would be better? Is there a better place within reasonable distance?

Don't bother going to Gettysburg. I went there a couple of years ago on Halloween, and there were so many people there no self-respecting spirit would have bothered showing themselves. And they didn't.

I've been to Salem a few times, and I love it. Never around Hallowe'en, so I'm not sure if the influx of tourists would sap the charm (albeit a bit tourist-y anyway), but I would recommend there. Lots of stuff to do and see, and it has the coolest atmosphere.

I have, and it's a mob scene.

Umbra Asylum or bust.

Not to mention both places you posted aren't in the least bit haunted (if you believe such things)

Gonna go to Gettysburg. That is if i can get off of work. Otherwise my job will have more to scared of than ghosts or ghouls.
