Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls.

You might think I'd grow tired of this after so many viewings, but I haven't and I never will.

Can't go wrong with Russ Meyer. My favorite is still "The Immoral Mr. Teas". It breaks my heart that he never made a vampire or zombie movie.

Up Pompeii (1971) sort of "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" with less singing and more boobs.

I LOVE this film!!!!!!!!!!! So campy and so much fun with some great tunes as well. I still miss Cynthia Myers (casey), a staggering PLAYBOY Playmate (12/68) who was a decent actress and who I ordered/corresponded with for a few years before she passed...very sweet.

Still amazes me how Roger Ebert shrieked and railed about early 80's horror flick when his script has many of the same things

Yeah, Russ Meyer is underrated as a filmmaker. Technically he was stellar and his films are always entertaining. Not sure Horror would have been something he would have wanted to try, but I would have watched, for sure!

I love it too, FD, and yes, the music is a blast. I find myself randomly humming the songs all the time. I didn't know Cynthia had passed away. Such a gorgeous woman, and you're right, she did a decent job on screen. In fact, Meyers seemed to have a knack for getting fairly solid performances out of his cast members, no matter how much acting experience they had. Wow, all this Meyers talk is making me want to watch Beyond again!

The image intrigued me, so I YouTubed it.

Good flick. I'd give it about the same rating for I'm still a touch confused on all the ghost business.

The Abomination (1986)

Hadn't seen this in years. Brother Fogg still kills me.
