Mulholland Drive- 3/10

I had high expectations for this, and I found it to just be ridiculously dumb, pointless, and boring. Did anyone else think this was a stupid movie or am I the only one?

It's one of my absolute favorite Lynch films. Preferred it over Lost Highway. I feel as though, in some ways that he is parodying himself in this film. It's almost like a self-tribute. You also have all of the classic Lynchian archetypes.

So I think YOU'RE ridiculously dumb.

OHHHHHHHHHH SNAP. :p

I also thought Mulholland Drive sucked donkey nuts.. As for Lynch.. I do admire the tone he can create in a film.. but I am not a big fan of his work.... I did like Blue Velvet and Twin Peaks.. but Blue Velvet I thought was held together by Dennis Hopper, so i don't know..

The Films of David Lynch - as I see them.

Eraserhead - groundbreaking and unforgettable. a HUGE influence for me as to how i would look at film after seeing it the 1st time.

The Elephant Man - well done but something i never felt the need to watch twice.

Blue Velvet - great film ... powerful and haunting

Dune - some Lynch trademarks but mostly atypical for him.. but i love it.

Wild at Heart - my all time favorite Lynch. Love every second of every frame.

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me - the only film of his i can say i hated. tedious, lazy, pointless.

Lost Highway - not great - but interesting.

Mulholland Dr.
Inland Empire
- i own both of these but havent seen them yet

I hesitate to call it stupid, but I found it highly overrated, a bit annoying and yes, for the most part, boring. And I AM a Lynch fan, I love Blue Velvet.

Anyway, watched Demons last night.

Oh my god Posher. Oh my god.

I think I was the only one here who genuinely liked you,
and thought your taste wasn't all that horrible.

But you just ruined that.

Ten times over.

Dumb? DUMB? As Chronogirl said, you're dumb. To call this film dumb, jesus h. christ... it's one of the most intelligent films I've ever seen.

Pointless? WHERE YOU EVEN WATCHING IT?

Boring? If you call illustrating raw emotion on screen boring, then I'd agree with you.

I actually really hate you right about now.

I don't think you can say your genuinely a Lynch fan unless you like Mulholland Dr, the atmosphere of Inland Empire and of course, Eraserhead. Lost Highway too. Blue Velvet is not that Lynchian, IMO.

(intruding AND interluding in all this Lynch-ian surreality)

Baby's Day Out.

Put my brains on the shelf and enjoyed this with the wife last night, after wishing her Happy B-day at 12 PM. :)

She loved it too. Nothing like sharing a good laugh at the beginning of a special and wonderful day.
