The ones I had already seen....

The Stepford Wives (original) ~ still oh so creepy. I have zero interest in the remake.

Deathwatch
Tommy Boy

What I hadn't seen....

Black Sheep ~ lots of fun!

Shadows of the Dead ~ boring, very boring. About as much fun as staring at a wall for an hour and a half.

Mr. Jingles ~ terrible doesn't even describe it....but I was drinking tequila, and that made it hilarious.

Jekyll + Hyde ~ better than I expected it to be, which isn't saying much. Its not terrible exactly, just forgettable. And its been done many times, and been done so much better that it makes this just a waste of time.

Dark Remains ~ I actually enjoyed this one for the most part, had its problems but its not bad.

"Atonement" 7/10

What a sad movie. :(

Excellent performances from all lead actors/actresses, especially James McAvoy. I will keep an eye on him in the future.

The Driver (1978) Don't know if it's been remade.

I liked it.

Cloverfield- 8/10

That was insane. That was... absolutely insane. Everyone in that theater was screaming, and I loved every second of it. Great monster, great flow. Awesome stuff. I don't want to spoil any of it, and since it's really easy to give a lot of it away, i'll stop with "go see it now"

Fortunato said it best.

Cloverfield
This will be the first film I make a fan-cut for.

SPOILER
I thought the film should have ended right after their getaway aircraft is attacked. Once they hit the ground, and that static image is displayed for two minutes. It should have then cut directly to the Coney Island scene... omitting that terrible final segment. Showing the creature head-on like that was a poor move, especially since it didn't look that realistic. The part where the two characters introduce themselves to the camera was also un-needed.

Otherwise, it was an amazing ride.
Very well done... go see it in theatres!

---

After getting back from Cloverfield, I have a hankering to watch Curse of the Blair Witch... a 45 minute mockumentary about the Blair Witch herself. Just discovered it on my DVD... :) I might end up watching the movie itself, too.

What a conicidence, I just got back from a date and we saw both those.

Juno... God, I really didn't want to see it, and it turned out totally different than I thought it would. But god, I have to say.... the movie was great. I didn't find anything wrong with the movie. Infact I may go back and watch it again this weekend. Also, the music, was great, even if I would probably never listen to them outside of the movie.

Cloverfield, best freaking monster movie in a long time. I liked the way they did it. Focusing on the people instead of the monster, which made the monster just that more awesome. The monster I didn't find it too realistic, but its a freaking movie, and its a giant monster than can take a freaking missle like nerf ball, so its not a big deal that it wasn't, oh lets say a giant fire breathing dinosaur. Because you know thats totally gonna happen. I infact liked it more because it was original, though it did kinda remind me of something from another movie, but I can't think of the title.

Juno 9/10

Cloverfield 8/10
