Children of Men. Quite an excellent film.
Big thanks for the reps to all.:)

I liked the Condemned a lot (probably helped by the premiere atmosphere) and I don't expect the remake of Battle Royale to be as good a representation of of BR as interpreted by Hollywood.

1408: Director's Cut
Visually stunning. Some effective scares and scenes (most notably, the shaft-chaser, and the daughter-to-ashes.) And hey, I love the song "We've Only Just Begun". The countdown was effective, etc. Basically, everything scare-wise and visually was near perfect. Cusack was a let down in some aspects, his acting wasn't so stupendous as many would have you believe. For example, his 'shocked' look during the scene in which the post office is torn down was just ludicrous. I was told there was a mind-bending, amazing twist - but I must have missed it. Not a fan of Stephen King, so maybe it's why I didn't like the movie THAT much. It certainly isn't bad, but I wouldn't watch it again.

Videodrome

While the gore and FX were cool and the acting was top notch, I was confused with the plot of this movie. I don't know if I missed something, was tired or the movie wasn't supposed to make sense but after it ended, I was left scratching my head and wondering "What?"

It was cool, but not the best I've seen from Cronenberg.

I felt the same way.....I think I gave it an 8/10 a few pages back. The reason for the high score was most likely I was expecting shit.
