I would like to discuss High Tension sometime, but not here. I don't want to spoil anything. Suffice to say I feel the film breaks some deals with the audience. Still I enjoyed it.

Haute Tension is a rip off of the TV movie adaptation of Dean Koontz's Intensity (1997). So you might impress your group more if you show them that. If not then I also go with the original Funny Games.

Thankyou For pointing that out. And I do kinda agree with you. However, I do still like haute tension regardless. I also find it interesting that the movies I was leaning towards the most...nobody mentioned at all. One more tally for funny games!

It appears, then, that Haute Tension will be the winner?

I was going to suggest High Tension as well.
I didn't realize it was a rip off of the Koontz novel. Now I'll have to read that. |

I haven't read the novel but Haute Tension is a scene by scene rip off the first part of the TV adaptation of Intensity. The second part is completely different as is the ending in Haute Tension. I think Haute Tension is a good film taken on its own merits but it shamelessly plagiarizes Intensity (1997)

That's been a running joke for longer than I've been here I have no idea how it started.
