Blair Witch is now eligible with the third movie out. Not seen Blair Witch 2 but I've seen the original, I think it's meh. I'll give the new one a look.

I'm going to throw a Halloween 3 a bone here as its exactly what the Halloween series should've been, a stand alone story.
A new one could've been done every couple of years, no repeat characters or any of that usual shit where you have an indestructible supervillian who hacks the crap out of a long line high schoolers.

Halloween III is a fine movie on it's own merits and should've been a stand-alone release and the beginning of a brand new Halloween-themed movie series.

The 2nd one is different from the first. It uses the story, but not the style. Its a decent flic if I remember right. Just do not watch it expecting documentary style.

I've heard that. It seems the new one went back to the found footage style of the original.

blair witch 2 is a passable movie for what it is, a bloodn guts horror, but should never have been given the BW title, it was for marketing and trying to use the name to gather viewers.i personally dont like the original.

I find the original to be an average and unremarkable film that's remember more for it's hype and advertising. I like the actual lore and legend of the Blair Witch but the movie doesn't really cut the mustard for me.

Can't remember if I mentioned The Fly before. My favorite of those is actually The Fly II. Recently watched both the Cronenberg remake and it's sequel for the first time in years and forgot how good both are. Cronenberg's movie is excellent but I find the second more entertaining with an even cooler monster.
