The Lady Vanishes.

Delightful early Hitchcockian cocktail.

The White Gorilla

(1945 B&W 94mins NR)

Just watched this movie starring Ray Corrigan. I wouldnt
really classify it as horror so much as I might call it an
adventure movie but it was included with the 100 Horror Classics DVD collection.
It's a movie about a man who discovers the existence of a legendary white gorilla and a jungle boy while exploring
Africa with his comrades. The White Gorilla is in conflict
with a Black Gorilla as it is considered an outcast for its
albino hair.
The movie is actually quite entertaining despite its use and
re-use of stock footage mostly consisting of what appears to
be footage taken from old nature and wildlife documentaries.
The footage was used advantageously and fit well with the film.
I liked this film, it was fun for its strange zaniness, I felt
the cast of characters and situations were rather unique compared to other ape/gorilla/king kong movies from this era.
It was like a combination of King Kong and Tarzan and Rudyard Kiplings 'Jungle Book'.

A very interesting mystery thriller with lots of fun. One of my favorite Hitchcock films after Rear window & Psycho.

Abbott & Costello meet Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

Hilarious. Comic timing at it's very finest. People need to see this.
