Eden Lake
A mean-spirited, but well crafted little thriller. There's nothing earth-shattering about it, but it is well directed and well acted (which instantly sets it above most films, let alone horror films) and the characters are truly frightening. It isn't a fun film, but I'm looking forward to seeing what the director will do next. 7/10

"Rest stop" 6/10
Everything she did and did not do annoyed the hell outa me. Can't say it was a boring movie, tho.

The Watchmen
I had no grounding at all for the film, never read the comic or really had little clue what it was even about. It certainly was a heavier film then I expected, and while it's not much praise I do think I can say it's Snyder's best work thus far. His over direction worked surprisingly well in most of the action scenes as well as deliverying very stong scenes concertrating on fewer characters at a time. The acting is all very solid with som characters very capably breaking the cliche molds that tend to surrond "Super" films. I am pretty sure I liked it, but it was so very far from what I was expecting its hard to be really firm about it.

The Midnight Meat Train
Good flick, slightly dodgy cgi blood but the overall look and pace of the film were top notch. I remember reading the short story a few years ago and Im pleased the film has turned out well.
