Just got done watching The Prowler. The characters are okay and the gore effects are superb thanks to Tom Savini, but this film suffers from some major pacing issues and seems to drag at the worst possible times. I don't regret watching it because there were some pretty good highlights, but I'll probably never watch it again.

pretty cool shot on video slasher. Great release by Massacre Video! Grabbed the last available copy from Diabolik DVD. good luck finding a decently priced copy now!

Necromancy (1972)


Pretty incoherent mess about a young couple moving to a town of devil worshipers. Not even tons of nudity and Orson Welles can save this one. Directed by MR B.I.G of Food of the Gods fame.

Cry of the Banshee (1970)



In the tradition of Witchfinder General and Blood on Satan's Claw, Gordon Hessler directs Vinnie Price in this lack lustre affair. Not even plenty of boobs or an awful 'Banshee' outfit can save this one. Still it gave me some enjoyment..Terry Gilliam did the wonderfully strange title sequence.

I remember liking this when it came out. Haven't seen it since. Wonder what I'd think!
