help with movie

okay, so a friend of mine described a movie to me, asking what it was.
i couldn't figure it out so hopefully one of you can help.
here's what he told me:

it's a movie where little creatures create tunnels under a house, and at the end the house is destroyed.

it appears to actually be the gate....

wow. i know the infamy that movie lives in around here, but i've never actually seen it.

I love The Gate it's a really cool 80s flick. The sequel is worth a watch too its great fun!
