I'm torn between Night and Dawn-forced to pick one I would say Dawn but I aldo think Day Of The Dead is amazing but not quite at the heights of the first two for me.

Night of the Living Dead for me. If nothing else for than the final scene when Ben goes through all that bull shit and then bam! Love it love it love it. "They're coming to get you Barbara! They're coming for you Barbara!" Classic.

That's a tough one! Hm. Well, I really like Night of the Living Dead because less is more sometimes and they did an amazing job for what they had at their disposal and on their budget. However, Dawn of the Dead took it a step up with brutality and the setting amuses the hell out of me. If the zombie apocalypse were to happen, I can well imagine myself finding my way to the mall for the resources alone or a place like Sam's Club because of the same reason! Night of the Living Dead had a bit more realism, in my opinion. Dawn of the Dead had a "okay, we're been at this for awhile. We're tired and we just want our lives back" feel to it. First instinct, my vote goes to Dawn of the Dead.

So...it looks like no love at all for LAND (decent), DIARY ( tough going) and SURVIVAL (bloody awful) then?

Dawn is my favourite Zombie film of Romero's. My favourite film of his in general (and tied for personal all time favourite) is "Martin". He made it in 1977, two years before Dawn, and it is a must see for any horror fan (especially those with a penchant for vampires).
