Newbie with a Horror Contest

Hey guys! I'm new to the forum so bear with me. I just started a blog reviewing horror movies and am on a mission for some help. I, for the life of me, cannot find a current horror movie that my husband says he likes. He's super picky. He loves all the classics, but basically anything beyond 1990 is garbage to him. I've tried a ton too. Please read my blog (following would be amazing too as I'm new to the blog world):

https://horrorpsycho.wordpress.com/

and help me find this movie!!! I'm serious. First person to find a movie my husband will actually like wins a prize!

Again, I apologize. I'm new to the whole forum and blog thing.

It's not a specific movie. Just a really good horror movie. My blog is just reviewing horror movies. I'm seriously just looking for any horror movie that's good enough for my husband to actually say he likes it. Every single horror movie I've seen recently, regardless of how much I love it, never gets my husband's approval. He loves the classics but hates any modern horror.

While writing my blog, I'm searching for different horror movies to watch so I figured I'd also have a mission to find one that not only I will love, but he will to.

Sorry if I wasn't clear.

What "classics" does your husband like?

Can you remember any of the titles?

Sure! I guess by classic I mean like 80's stuff. He loves the original Halloween 1 and 2, original Nightmare on Elm Street, Christine, Exorcist, Salem's Lot, American Werewolf in London, The Thing......

Those are his favorites probably.

Has he tried The Conjuring? That has a sort of classic haunted house movie vibe, and it doesn't have any of the jump scares, gratuitous gore, and horrible special effects that many modern horror movies have. I thought it was rather scary.
