I'm a big fan of Richard Laymon and have a few of his books. Yeah, I think "One Rainy Night" would make a good movie.
"Bite" and "The Beast House" chronicles are good, "Savage" "Among The Missing" "Blood Games" and "Funland." Along with many more =)

Just wanted to say thanks. Because of this thread, I've picked up Laymon's Lonesome Night in October, (it's all the Library had) and one hundred pages in, I've got to say that its pretty good.

Unless something goes horribly wrong, Laymon is now on my short list of authors to look for.

I often see loads of books by this author in my library, but I never read one. I think I will next time I'm in there. ;)

He's really good. I've just started on The Travelling Vampire Show and I'm really enjoying it. (It's sort of a Stand by Me mixed with Something Wicked this Way Comes.)

It seems hard for me to find a decent horror author. So it's nice when I finally find a really good one.
