Zombies Of Mass Destruction
Better than expected. Some quite funny satire of the current paranoid political climate and the moral majority. Not as sharp or original as Tucker & Dale vs Evil or Fido but still not a bad watch and a solid independent production. 3/5 Those are both great films. |

It took me awhile to get into this and at first the loud music was abrasive and annoying. But as the movie got going i got really interested and the music just added to the intensity. By the end i found it exciting and creepy. |

"Devil" (2010)
Plot: IMDB In Philadelphia, Detective Bowden is still grieving for his wife and son, killed in a hit-and-run five years ago. When someone jumps from a skyscraper onto a truck, Bowden is sent to investigate. Meanwhile, five strangers are trapped in an elevator in the building where the jumper committed suicide. The communication radio in the elevator is broken but the guards, Lustig and Ramirez, observe the individuals via CCTV as events unfold. Tensions run high among those trapped, so Lustig calls the police and Detective Bowden assumes the case. Without being able to contact the individuals, he tries to work out who they are, but he can only account for four of them. Time is running out for the occupants of the elevator, as Bowden realizes he has to get them out quickly. Phantom's Review: Much to my shock and surprise, this turned out to be a very effective thriller. When I first heard this film, it's plot and The fact that it "Came From The Mind Of M.Night Shyamalan" I pretty much skipped it. But thankfully cable TV allows you to catch up with certain films and I'm glad about that. No major FX, just good acting ,an interesting story and some nice suspense. |

Saw Insidious yesterday - I liked the idea of it, the old-school-feel, the special bagground music and all.
But I felt like it missed somethin' when it was over. [I loved all the references to other James Wan movies, like the Saw-doll on the black board and JW's name. :)]
