Do any of you guys think Mary Queen of Scots will be any good? I question it because the trailer already proved it to be historically inaccurate. Mary and Queen Elizabeth never actually met in person. They were pen pals before becoming Rivals but even then after Mary became Elizabeth's prisoner, she never went to visit her in all those 19 years and didn't even want to kill her since her mother, Anne Boleyn, was also beheaded and she sympathized for Mary because in a way she was her best friend but once Elizabeth discovered that Mary was conspiring to murder her so she could be freed, Elizabeth finally gave the order and didn't even attend her execution, which was done in a small private ceremony. Unfortunately it took more than one whack with the ex to take her head off and according to documents it was quite the horrific scene.
I love the look of the movie and it looks like Margot Robbie might actually be awesome as Queen Elizabeth but there is one clip from the trailer where Mary calls Elizabeth her inferior to her face. That makes me question it since they couldn't even get that correct. I mean that was something that made the story even more interesting was that they were cousins and best friends and both two of the most important women in British history but yet they never laid eyes on one another. If no one has ever heard the story of Mary Queen of Scots, I highly recommend getting on YouTube and watching one of the many documentaries about her. She is portrayed in the movie as the protagonist I assume, but in reality she was the villain all along. It was unintentional but all the mistakes of her past finally caught up with her. But I knew you could. I think Crystal Illusion captures it best. I though you were picking Sex and Drugs and Rocknroll from Ian Dury and the Blockheads. The Freebeez is a funky cut. I like I'm walking high in the set, it's akin to Sweaty Lady, but I'm walking high has a real low frequency (on the record I heard) that can drone a little, were Sweaty Lady has a nice high frequency. I like the drums from Can you dig it. I knew you'd pick songs that keep a lively party going for everyone. For absinthe sippy, I might try to play Bitches Brew and everyone would leave. Sipping absinthe music, I'd be thinking along these lines below, but not for a bar party... that's why you get my coins... Almost Human - Antonio Sanchez Smells Like Teen Spirit - The Bad Plus Tomorrow Never Knows - Beatles Can You Dig It - Monkees (Peter Tork version) The Spider - Kansas Last edited by Sculpt; 12-21-2018 at 06:29 PM. |
