I'm sorry, but that was pathetic. I can't believe that is a Rodriguez film. Desperado and Once Upon* were so many times better than that... I hated it. C-

Beowulf. For the most part its entertainment galore, but overdose of CGI can be annoying. The casting is spot-on and the direction is really commendable. Ray Winstone and Crispin Glover are the two standout performers. I had a fun time watching Grendel and Beowulf slug it out, and then Angelina Jolie in all her exoticness (even in CGI) dominate the latter part of the movie. Its a fun movie. If you want entertainment and tons of it, give it a shot. Rating - ***1/2

It was funny! It was entertaining and spontaneous. But yeah... The sex scene. Sorry. In a graveyard with a dark woman at night. *dies*

That's what made him an instant star because he showed amazing ingenuity and visual flair on a budget of nothing. No one makes an action film for $4000 quite literally 1/100 of what would be considered a "low budget film." The story was weak, I give it huge props because the imagery and themes are like a tex-mex filtered spaghetti western and the story is the first film in the Trilogy that continues with Desperado & Once Upon a Time in Mexico which were made with Millions of dollars. I understand not thinking it was awesome, because it ain't, but it is an important film. I just watched Black Book Paul Verhoeven's Dutch language WWII themed flick is a gem. And excellently complicated tale with relentless action, tension, tragedy, sex and actual (and unexpected) romance. Some of Verhoeven's best work, and I say that as a fan. The Acting is top-notch. The more I contemplate it, the more I like it. 9/10

The Toolbox Murders remake.
Better than the original in more ways than one.
