Another one!

Hey guys,

I typically tend to stay away from forums, but as an avid long time horror fan, I just couldn't resist this one when I found it.

I've been into horror movies as long as I can remember. As a child, HBO used to play a pretty good variety of classic titles, such as Monster Squad, Killer Klowns from Outer Space (which to a six year old is terrifying), Troll 2, ect ect. Anyone who grew up in the 80's/early 90's with HBO will recall.

At any rate, when I was in the 7th grade, my friend and I convinced his mother to let us rent Dawn of the Dead, and that was it, I was done. Although I think Romero's latest two were total bullshit, I'll always hold dear Night, Dawn, Day, and even Land. I've even a healthy appreciate for the remakes of Night and Dawn.

I'm always up for a good read as well, so if anyone ever has any suggestions, please don't hesitate to pass them my way.

Looking forward to killing time with you all!

Welcome aboard! Monster Squad and Killer Klowns From Outer Space are great flicks.

Nice to see someone else appreciates the Night Of The Living Dead remake. Big fan of it myself.

Welcome to the forum. Romero rules, that's for sure. Good reads don't any gooder than H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, Robert E. Howard, Ray Bradbury, Robert Bloch, (and lest I forget, R. Chetwynd-Hayes), and a whole slew of others. Check out the HDC's 100 top best horror writers hidden somewhere in the forum.:)
