Because every now and then you'll strike a Street Trash or a Toxic Avenger. 9/10 times the film is shit but you still find gems. Speaking of which Father's Day was pretty top notch if you like your trashy flicks.

yup - you just never know ..

sometimes the odd clever filmmaker finds the right twist and they end up being funny. it's rare - but they're out there, and you don't know which ones they are until you see them.

I recall Monsturd as being pretty amusing

Got that sitting here for when I'm in a mood for some lowbrow flicks.

I've actually been watching a lot more big budget Hollywood stuff more than I used to. But once every couple of months I'll dig out some low budget stuff.

Will probably get caught out with Zombie Hunter because it's got Danny Trejo in it... just can't help myself

maybe not the worst....but definitely disappointing

I love the old school action flicks and Die Hard has been a great series...I even like "Live Free or Die Hard"...but I never even made it through the last one and I don't think I'm gonna bother to watch the rest.

also Taken 2 was a big letdown

Worst 2013 film I've seen this year?

No question: Evil Dead

I was peaking at some lists for 2013, and I didn't see many films at the theater this year, and not many 2013 on DVD/Netflix.

To me, most films of I've seen in 2000's have been fairly poor. But the 2013s I've seen have all been decent. Maybe I've just been better selecting films.

Ok,i get your point.Yes you can find the odd gem but the two you mentioned are not one of those i`m afraid.I bought Street Trash a few years ago on a nostalgia trip, thinking it was a good movie back from what i remembered, sadly it isn't.As for Toxie...............

But as you said, the odd gem can come through. Its a pity you have to watch hours upon hours of crap to find them.

To be fair, Toilet of the Dead was done by the same director who did Machine Girl and Robogeisha so I can understand that if you liked those movies, you'd want to see it. He's all about schlock and there's nothing wrong with that.

I found Beautiful Creatures to be unwatchable.

Movie 43 was pretty bad but it was what it was.

Admission was a huge disappointment (really bad/unbelievable story)

The Purge had an interesting concept but failed in execution.

Man of Steel. Ohhh, boy, this didn't work for me.

Kickass 2 was a mess.

Didn't like Toxic Avenger? I didn't see it when I was younger (lets say 5-22), but heard my friends talk about it; so I knew what it was about, and a lot of the scenes. It sounded like some of the comics drew when I was a kid.

I didn't end up seeing it until well into adulthood. And for me, that mattered a lot. I had to force myself to watch it; could only get through about 40 mins, and decided I'd just read the rest for my cultural education. Having the protagonist act like a 5 year old, the lavish crudeness and cruelty... I got the idea in the first 10 mins, didn't find it entertaining.

I know a lot of people love it. I'm not saying only a teen mind would like it. I'm just saying for me that was the case. I wonder how many people saw for the first time older than 29 years old and really liked it?

  • Baise Moi (2000)
  • The House on the Edge of the Park (1980)
  • Terrifying Girl’s High School Lynch Law Classroom (1973)
