Watched Wind CHill last night. Pretty godamn good. use the "slow boil" approach by building layers of suspense and occaisional sj=hockers to scare the hell out of you and keep you guessing. very well done and acted.

Watching the theatrical version of Live Free or Die Hard right now. Not as repulsed as i would have thought, but I am looking forward to the unrated version and never watching the pg-13 again.

And, for the record, I believe Casey Affleck's performance as the moody killer in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford equals Javier's and Wilkinson's roles in their respective movies. The trio put up three fiery performances this year, making it unusually hard to choose a "best".

alky, you inspired me to watch

network (1976)
biting, nearly vonnegutian satire. gigantic acting by a stunning lineup of players and perfect direction by sidney lumet.
wonderful.

Watched Live Free or Die hard, the theatrical version. Going to watch the unrated today.

I was pleasantly surprised. More over the top than the other 3 (if that is possible), but i was expecting rancind monkey shit, and what i got was a pretty decent action flick.

I am looking forward to the unrated version.
