Life stuff
I'll know more later today, but, I may be gone for a while. My Mom is not doing well. She's been in some time of medical facility for over 2 months now. She's in ICU right now, having serious trouble breathing, not following commands, and very lethargic. The hospital is talking about hospice. I'll be talking to her doctor today, and, if she hasn't rallied overnight, I'll probably be making the drive to Florida (I live in Delaware), which will take about 2 days. So, I'll be gone from the site for a while. cheebacheeba will be around to moderate things.

I'll try to at least keep an eye on things.
Sorry to hear that you're going through something that can't be easy, one way or another. Take care. Go have a good talk to your mum about whatever important or unimportant stuff comes to mind. Best of luck getting well, whatever needs to be sorted, sorted. All the best, and we'll see you soon.

I'm tentatively planning to hit the road on Wednesday. I'll make a final decision after I talk to the nurse again at noon. Talked to him a few minutes ago, he said the doctor would be in by 10:00 (maybe). I asked him point blank if she's dying, and he said since she has a DNR, that this is probably the end.
I don't care that she's 78. I'm not ready to lose my Mom.
