The Loved Ones (2009) Video Review

Hey guys!
Not sure where to post a video review so I put it here.

Been reviewing horror movies as part of a series of videos called Horror Movie Showcase. Here's the newest video:

https://youtu.be/22Pqs8ZVGs8

It's a review of the Australian horror film The Loved Ones (2009)
I thought it was a pretty good film.

If you've seen the movie, what do you think?
Also, any suggestions for my video series?

Loved this film.

I identify with Lola (and with Stoker in that film). Boys are never as fun as they should be.

Lola’s latest boyfriend is yet another disappointment. She tries to find a way into his mind but boys’ brains are not easy to locate. He can’t love her like her Daddy can.

Lola does not have much of a relationship with her mother who is kind of distant and participates in the end of school celebration without much enthusiasm. Lola’s goodbye to her Mum is a poignant moment. I often picture a similar parting with my own mother...

The only disappointment to me is that the film ending seems to hold out the illusory promise of true love and happy families. Although Lola is beautiful in her final scenes she never has a chance to blossom once free of the restraints of family ties.
