Plot:
Banner Cole is professional gunfighter who is deputized by the dyeing town marshal,he forms a small posse to go after 4 death cell escapees who killed the Marshall , robbed the bank, and kidnapped a woman.

Phantom's Review: Solid , well made western adventure. While the plot is pretty standard, the action is terrific, the actors all do a great job and it leads to an exciting conclusion. One of Audie Murphy's best westerns. Plenty of recognizable character actors appear in this film (Royal Dano, John Saxon, Lee Van Cleef, Vic Morrow, Rudolfo Acosta) This is a great way to spend a lazy afternoon.

I just rewatched The Dunwich Horror. Haven't seen it in decades. I have to say, it's a better movie than I remember, and a more faithful Lovecraftian adaptation than anything else up to that time. I found the neon psychedelic effects quite appropriate for portraying the cosmic forces Lovecraft depicted.

Plus, how cute was the young Dean Stockwell with his curly hair and moustache?

Double Indemnity (1944)

An ultimate film-noir. Heard lots of good stuffs about it before but finally saw it last night. I used to be a sucker of this James Hadley Chase sort of stories about treacherous woman manipulating a guy for her own ends. But besides the plot & watching Billy Wilder's cinematic magic in every frame, this one become an absolute treat for Edgar Robinson's top-notch performance as Barton Keys "& the little man inside him"...what a great actor he was!! Wow!!

A Quiet Place in the Country (1968)

A pretty weird, Italian psychological thriller staring Franco Nero & stunning Vanessa Redgrave. From the very odd opening sequence, I'm not sure whether I didn't get it right or the plot was at times quite disjointed, full of unanswered questions and finally manages a bizarre ending that somewhat tells the viewer to think about the whole thing in a different perspective but as a whole I failed to enjoyed it thoroughly.

Hasta el Viento Tiene Miedo aka Even the Wind Is Afraid (1968)

Though the premise (Girls boarding school) was similar to The House that Screamed (1969) but while that Spanish classic was more like a atmospheric Giallo feature, this Mexican gem comes with a beautifully plotted, atmospheric vengeful ghost story and that's just as good as any Gothic classics of great 60s & 70s era.
